Your second stop will be Tio Pepe, a storied West Village restaurant that has been serving authentic Spanish cuisine for over 40 years. Opened in 1970 by Jimmy Sanz Sr., a Spanish-born restaurateur who immigrated to NYC in 1959, it’s still in the family – now run by his son, Jimmy Sanz Jr. Throughout the restaurant, there is an aura of old-school authenticity, with past customers including The Beatles and Robert De Niro, you’ll feel right at home as an important piece of the Tio Pepe story.
