Locals and Tourists Can Start Their Weekend Early On An Entertaining Journey Learning About Wine
BOSTON, May 21, 2014 – City Wine Tours (www.citywinetours.com) has announced their first Friday afternoon tour in Boston’s North End starting on Friday, June 6, 2014. The Boston-based company is expanding their tour availability previously only offered on the weekends due to high demand from consumers and partners. Now, locals and tourists alike will have the opportunity enjoy a Friday afternoon taking a walking wine tour around the North End.
City Wine Tours, known as Boston’s best wine tour, leads guests on a journey through local wine destinations in four Boston-area neighborhoods, including award-winning restaurants and wine bars. Educated tour guides lead guests on an intimate tour stopping at three destinations while sharing tips and insight into wine selections and food pairings. Guests can expect to enjoy handpicked wine selections, learn about new wine varietals and pick up unique wine knowledge along the way.
“We’re very excited be expanding our Boston tours to Friday afternoon in the North End, as most of these tours on the weekends have been selling out well in advance,” says City Wine Tours CEO and co-founder, Daniel Andrew. “Our North End restaurant and wine shop partners are thrilled at the prospect of even more guests coming through their locations. Now locals and tourists can get a head start enjoying their weekend since we want to make learning about wine as much fun as drinking it.”
In the North End, tour participants will start their journey at Aragosta at the Fairmont Battery Wharf, with a second stop at either North End Italian favorites, Artu Rosticeria & Trattoria or Gennaro’s 5 North Square and finally rounding at the tour stopping at one of the cozy local wine shops, Wine Bottega or Boston Bottles. Friday tours run in the North End from 3pm – 5pm from June through August. Tickets can be purchased at their website, www.citywinetours.com for $66.
